Our split transaction feature lets you split a transaction into multiple categories so your budget reflects your spending more accurately.
The split-transaction feature is only available to MoneyWellth Premium users. Click here to learn how to sign up for MoneyWellth Premium.
Through the App:
- Log in to your MoneyWellth account.
- On your dashboard, tap View all Transactions under Recent Transactions.
- Tap the transaction you want to split.
Note: You can split a transaction only after it has posted. Pending transactions cannot be split. Transactions typically occur within 24–48 hours.
- Tap Split Transaction.

Select how you would like to split the transaction. You can either split a transaction by equal amounts, by percentage, or by amount.
By equal amounts — divides the total evenly across all splitsBy percentage — assigns a percentage of the total to each split. You can adjust each split's percentage.
By amount — manually enter exact amounts for each split
- Tap Add Split.
Note: There is no limit to the number of splits you can add.
- Tap a split transaction to edit the display name, if needed.
- Tap on the category icon to update the transaction category. This step ensures each split is assigned to the right budget category.
- Tap Save to complete your split.
Through the Website:
- Log in to your MoneyWellth account.
- Go to Budgeting from the left navigation menu.
- Click See Latest Transactions.
- Click the transaction you want to split.
